Daddy & I took you to New Hampshire to see Auntie Kathie and Uncle Tony for Labor Day, your second road trip. You tried a lot of new things :) Fried dough pizza, cotton candy, green beans... and you pretty much loved all of them!

Now, I know this is REALLY late but I know you will understand why. Mommy has been working extraordinarily hard the past month with Kevin trying to get Dixie in order.

You are getting so big, my sweet boy. It amazes me every day. I love watching you learn about new things around you and, while sometimes it drives me crazy, I laugh when I see how EVERYTHING goes into the mouth :)

You are rolling over from stomach to back and from back to stomach (your favorite!) and are even going to sleep on your back now! You roll over onto your tummy, but you are happy when we put you on your back, which is a big accomplishment.

You LOVE solid foods - rice, bananas, peaches, sweet potatoes, squash and especially applesauce. You can't get enough of them!

You are going to be 7 months old in 4 days... this astounds me!!! a year ago, you were only this small:

You are getting SOO big!! Just today, at your dr's appointment, you weighed over 15 lbs!! You doubled your birthweight before 6 months old...my little chunker! You are starting to eat rice now, 2 times a day... I can't seem to get it in your mouth fast enough!!

Your Auntie Betsy bought this for you after seeing you on Easter in your cousin Gracie's jumper. You LOVE it and sometimes jump so much that I think you are going to launch yourself into space!

Mommy started her new job just after you turned 4 months old and you have been coming to work with her every now and then. We have fun during boring conference calls!

You constantly make me smile. Everytime I look at you, I get a big toothless grin that just melts my heart. It's hard to watch you grow so fast, but I can't wait to see you take your first steps...I love watching you discover new things.

j'adore my sweet anagel... Thank you for picking me to be your mom. I can't tell you how much you mean to me or just how much I love every minute of my life now that you are in it.

4 months old...where did the time go?

A year ago last month, I heard 3 of the best words I have ever heard..."You are pregnant!" When I saw the first pictures of you, I still didn't believe it!

my little boy is growing so much! I looked at you one morning and thought to myself "you grew overnight!"



You love standing lately! You "dance" on mommy and daddy's laps and get so excited when we hold you. Your smile melts my heart every day and I love hearing you coo at me. I know you are going to start laughing soon!



We took you to Babies 'r Us and put you in an exersaucer to see how much you would like it. To our GREAT enjoyment...you LOVED it! We definitely need to get you something to exercise with. You just had soo much fun in that!

I am just amazed by you every day and you make me so happy. I know things are going to be tough for a while until my new job "takes off" and I can make some more money, but the fact that I get to see you every day brings such a smile to my face and I cannot wait!

I love you so much Patrick...Amy and Dave both warned me I would never love someone so much as I loved my child. I believed them, but never could have imagined loving someone this much. I stare at you and am just astounded that you are actually here and are mine.

J'adore, my sweet boy. Happy 4 month birthday (a couple days late! - but we sang to you on Saturday!)

3 Months!!!

Where has the time gone????

Three months ago today, I was bringing a little person home from the hospital. A year ago this week, I was starting my last IVF cycle that would result in you being born. It is unbelievable to me...

There are times when I think you really are talking to them and you think they are talking to you as well. You are so alert and such a happy baby. The ladies at daycare just love you to pieces and you are clearly their favorite baby in the infant room.

Your grandma and Pop love to come over and see you. Pop got to give you a bottle for the first time since you came home and while it took you a few minutes to "latch on", Pop was so patient.

My sweet angel...I love you so much and I am amazed at you every day. You are starting to recognize who certain people are: Daddy, Grandma, and me especially. Patrick's letter to his daycare

well...I have to go back to work tomorrow. I am totally not looking forward to it and wish I liked my job so I would WANT to go back to work...nope.

I thought of an idea to write a letter from Patrick to his day care. I know they will get to know him quickly, but I thought why not tell them things they might not find out.

What do you think...too much?

Dear Jodi and Dorothy-

I know you have already met me, but my mom insisted I write this letter to tell you a little more about me.

As you know, my name is Patrick. My full name is Sanford Patrick James Raymond. I tend to grin when mommy calls me “Patrick James”. I was born in December 18th, my mom and grandma’s favorite Christmas present (they tell me that all the time!)

I LOVE being held and rocked. My mom and grandma whisper in my ear when I get REALLY upset. They whisper a sound that sounds like “SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”. My aunts call me a Snuggle Bug because I like to snuggle up and bury myself into people’s necks – it’s warmer there!

I don’t really have any toys yet. Mom puts me on my tummy-time mat, but lies me on my back because I sleep on my stomach. I like looking at the animals and hitting them with my hands. I tend to kick a lot and make the music play – I love music! (It’s my mom’s fault, she played music for and sang to me when I was inside her…she still does.)

Mom just changed my formula, so I might release some gas when you feed me. I’ll apologize now…it can smell pretty bad. I do like my new formula though!! It’s yummy and as Mom likes to tell me, it makes me poop!! J

I should warn you…I don’t like to nap during the day. Mom tries to put me down, but I am stubborn, I’ll admit it. J I do like having something that smells like my mom with me when I get upset, it helps me sleep. If I know my mom, she has already taken care of that. Maybe once we start playing though, I’ll get tired and sleep more. I am very excited to play with you!!!

Mom is a little upset because we have been spending pretty much every minute together since I was born and she really doesn’t want to go back to work. I only warn you of this because the first couple of weeks, she might come up with reasons to call and ask how I am. I tried to tell her it’s normal, but she won’t listen to me. I guess it’s hard to understand me when all I do is raise my hands and make small sounds J

Well, I guess that is pretty much all I can tell you. I know Mom could go on and on telling you the things I like and dislike, but I keep telling her “Mom…they’ll learn those things. Stop embarrassing me!” again…it’s hard for her to understand me raising my hands.

I am very excited about coming to play with you two and hope you are excited too.
